So, as I have said before, we are going back to Lexington for a couple of weeks at Christmas. It’s my one chance to catch up with the 10 or so friends that I follow on fb – people with whom I’ve lost touch. That is going to be loads of fun and I’m super excited. 
Unfortunately, I kind of didn’t convey my message about the purpose of this soiree very well. In my efforts to get groups together that gelled, it’s come across looking like reunions from different schools. That wasn’t what I wanted at all. It became – well if you invite this person, you must invite this person because they are best friends. Then, these people hung out with two of the people you invited, so you cannot exclude them… and so on.
I’ve tried to make contact with each person on my fb friends list, by either wall post or message. I actually read what these people are up to, check out their pictures, and look at their “info”. There are a handful of people that, despite multiple efforts, have not replied in any way. 
I’ll never get why you friend somebody then ignore them. Oh well.
I’m going to be selfish. This visit is about me. It’s about seeing people that I want to see. It’s about enjoying everybody’s company. So, I guess it doesn’t matter who is friends with whom. All that matters are those who are friends with me. I’m lucky to have some great friends! Thanks guys.
