ESPN College Gameday

Lee Corso & Kirk Herbstreet can bite my ass. For those “out of the loop”, ESPN is shooting in front of the William T Young library AT the University of Kentucky – for the first time ever.

When asked who the top 10 team most likely to lose Corso EMPHATICALLY said “Kentucky!”. toolHe further went on to attempt to convince the viewers that Florida is a much better team than LSU.

Kentucky was also the first choice of Herbstreet. The more composed of the two commentators, Herbstreet provided two reasonable rationales. First he felt that the Cats are too excited. I agree with his logic. It is one of the main factors in my mind as well. Secondly, as Herbstreet stated, the Gators are coming off of two straight losses.

Following their picks, our CLASSY crowd responds with the “bullshit” chant – on national tv no-less. *crige* I’ll piss withstupidpeople off, but sometimes I’m so embarrassed to say I’m from Kentucky. Sheesh! Besides, not a good way to welcome ESPN’s “College Gameday”.

Guess we will see how strong Florida is mentally. Will the losses help or hurt? And, as I’ve said before, will the time off work wonders for them mentally, or will it run them into the ground?

I’ll find out when I wake up Sunday. The game is at 3am for me. I’m usually a VERY early riser, so maybe I can catch the second half.

UKGood luck Cats.

Wide Stance

A euphemism for a homosexual, especially one who is closeted.

This is coined from the transparent defense of Senator Larry Craig (R-Idaho), to charges of disorderly conduct, stemming from his apparent solicitation of an undercover officer, underneath the partition of a restroom stall.

Prior to pleading guilty, Sen. Craig attempted to explain his behavior by claiming that his shoe touched the officer’s underneath the partition because he had a “wide stance”, when going to the bathroom.

Yayyy Good News!

People who know me, or those who have paid attention, are aware that I’m here in the Philippines with my partner. I’ve made a post or two on it. So, I don’t work. It’s up to me to fill my time with fun stuff.

There are lots of “expat wives” here. But, let’s just say we have different interests.

Growing up, my parents did the “extracurricular activity” thing with me. I took ballet (danced with the Lexington Ballet Company as I progressed), did the piano thing, the clarinet thing, etc. But, dance was my passion.

Many schools in town were teaching the “whole package” – tap, jazz, ballet. That wasn’t good enough for my parents. They wanted the strict, disciplined, classical ballet.

Like many people around the world, I follow a few “reality” shows. ‘Dancing With the Stars’ and ‘So You Think You Can Dance’ are two of my favorites… for obvious reasons. It reminds me of growing up. The posture, the frame, the feet, the choreography.

Anyway, the Filipino culture is rich in the arts. There are so many talented artists, singers, musicians, and dancers.

I ran across a guy, through diving searches, who is a dancer and director. This was my chance – I get to go back to being a kid! To make it reality, I sent him an email asking if he was interested in teaching… I want Latin Ballroom! It’s so steamy and sexy.

It’s a deal. sunny His specialty is the Argentine Tango – that was one of his primary competitive focuses. But, we’re going to do it all – one at a time.

Tell me to “break a leg”, but don’t wish me luck. I’ll keep you posted. Thumbs Up
