Well, the currents had calmed some and the weather had been nice… until I got in my gear to dive last night.
Isn’t that just the way it works? *sigh* I was a little chilly, as it was only 81F outside.
The clouds were no biggie… since it was a night dive. We took off in the chase boat, looking like Navy SEALs or something. Then came the stinging rain. Battering my face. It was the only body part exposed, so I was good.
I saw and octopus as big as my head. Lots of various crabs. You know, the usual stuff you see at night – things that don’t happen during the day. Animals crawling (like starfish) that never move, etc.
I was with 2 guys and one took off to the left, the other took off to the right, and I just kind of floated in position until they figured it out. I had my compass heading, so I was fine. Besides, I was in a good spot to stare and see what might move.
It’s raining here – has all day. Good thing the dive was last night!
