And… Continuing with yesterdays lesson:
Drunk Catcher ~ Noun
An obstacle found in one’s path that, while drunk, provides an incredible challenge to avoid.
This includes cracks in the sidewalk, low-hanging tree branches, abnormal curbs, and members of the opposite sex who are of questionable attractiveness.
Generally, these are ranked by class, or degree of difficulty: class 1 being the lowest and class 5 being the highest.

I was so pumped to get back in the water. Yes, yes, yesssss! I went alone – well, with a dive master. Everybody knows that you can’t go completely alone.
The DM’s here are like friends. You see them every day – or every time you go down there. They are always professional, but things get more relaxed after time. Think about a personal trainer, don’t you get to know them better each time? This is the same thing. (If your trainer works out “with” you, that is.)
Man, the currents were strong today. Then, out of the blue it just shifted. Holy heck! Now, I have strong legs, have been a swimmer for over 30 years, and have participated in water activites (snorkeling, skiing, knee boarding, etc.) for as long as I can remember.
Anyway, I’m facing the current – we couldn’t go across it, because we were getting a little shallow – and I’m kicking, using full strokes… completely streamlined…. and I am completely stationary. ROFL!! It was utterly useless to be in that position. So, I switched to frog kicks , and was much more productive.
Got one hell’uva workout for 45 min. Mucho cardio!! My legs might even be a little sore tomorrow. We’ll see. But, man, it was soooo worth it! What do you think I’m doing tomorrow?

OMG! I might get to dive today! I’m looking outside and it looks promising. But, I’m scared to check the surf & storms report. Guess it wouldn’t hurt to just go down and look at the water. If a boat can just get me to a site, it’s all gravy from there.
I’m finally going to order a wetsuit. I just dive in a skin – warm blooded. But, as the weather cools off, so does the water. Plus, with the depths I prefer, when I hit a thermocline it gets a little chilly. Add to that the number of previous dives that day and bottom time… then it’s damn cold!
I don’t want a full suit. Just a farmer john & vest with a hood. (non-divers, farmer john is like our “coveralls/overalls” in the states) It will only be 2mm at the thickest too. AND I’m getting a new skin. Gonna match my fins. I do now, but it’s mostly black. I’m looking for color! Well… if silver counts. Hard to explain.
Wish me luck on the water. Oh I want this soooo bad!
